Education

(3 Minute Read)

A quote you may be familiar with…

Give a man person a fish, and you feed him them for a day. Teach a man person to fish, and you feed him them for a lifetime.

“But you said I can’t eat fish on the Very Easy Diet?”

No fish to be had here, you’re correct.

But the idea of teaching you a new skill, most certainly.

After many years of podcasts, books, blogs and tweets, covering nutrition for health, performance and longevity…

I have heard it all. Good and bad.

Short Reads

I’ve created a short email course covering the basics of nutrition with actionable advice that you can make use of immediately.

The aim of the advice is to empower you with the essential knowledge of nutrition for long term optimal health.

Not only will it help improve your health, but it’ll also save you time and money in the future.

Each section is short, to the point and recommendations are backed by science.

“Why should I read what you’ve put together?”

As Hemingway eloquently put it:

“The most essential gift for a good writer is a built-in, shockproof, shit detector.”

Whilst I don’t proclaim to be a “good writer”, I do know shit advice when I see it.

And there’s plenty of it out there (none of which is included).

Broaden Your Horizons

Here’s some research to reiterate the importance of education as well as diet intervention.

The BROAD study was conducted in New Zealand, 2017.

It was a small study that compared traditional health care methods against a whole-food, plant-based (WFPB) diet treatment.

Participants were also provided skills and education but were responsible for their own food choices.

The results of the study showed the WFPB diet combined with skills and education led to significant weight reduction and improvements in key health markers.

BROAD > Easy

Any health intervention with long term success has an education component and Easy is no different.

Easy’s education is short, concise and juggles humour with science & research to keep it interesting.
